MBT Dt project An early St. Paddy's day top hat surprise!

I created this top hat for my sister for her birthday.  It's March 17th but I was inspired to do so and when I get inspired I try to let the creativeness flow even if it's out of season.  I thought I would just start this tonight but only after 2hrs did I realize I was finishing this baby and I was super excited to get it finished because it was just so much fun.

The top hat construction tutorial came from Msliberty25 on youtube I will have this uploaded to my channel by tomorrow and Miranda's link will be there just in case you want to know how I made this.  She is a designer for Swirlydoos and she had the easiest construction of any to follow.

I used a ton of new Mbtreasurista.com products in this and they were:

Ruffled eyelet trim glimmer sprayed with Lindys
Ruffled satin green apple trim
Azul spray copic colored in green olive
Petaloo flower center
NEW mini rosette flowers
NEW mulberry leaves
NEW cherry blossom flowers
NEW dove birds I used one on the flower
Green mesh bling
Green satin ribbon trim
NEW hair barrette piece underneath sorry forgot to take pic of that

I had a ton of fun creating this and I hope to do more in the future.  I'm branching out!

My TP challenge entry for itripledogdareu's a Hot air balloon

So I saw all the beautiful Tp roll pockets, treat boxes/bags, and mini tussy mussy's and I had to create one but when I was in the process of it something else came to mind and all of a sudden my toilet paper roll became the basket of a hot air balloon.  I used Prima almanac paper and DCWV Lady couture stack.  I used cherry blossom flowers, heart drop pearl trim in peach, white pearl bead spray and the black & white chinese braided trim from mbtreasurista.com. I added the bling from want2scrap, I believe it's the donna salazar collection and I stickled around the note sheet.   I fussy cut most of the accents you see such as the girl, the dark flowers, the note sheet, the window diecut behind the girl and I added laces from my stash and beautiful flowers at the top with a peach satin bow to hang it.

I do not even know what I am going to do with this but when the creativity came I went with it and was super excited how it turned out.  If you want to see close up pics check out my blog link below.

New Gun Laws?????

What are your thoughts?  What are your propositions?  We are a family who survives on the likes of my husband being able to go out and shoot our livelihood, our meals.  He is a hunter who serves to be the bread and butter of my family, I do not even understand what is happening to this country?  Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness?  Really?  Somehow I don't think so anymore.

We have snow & Disney Cinderella princess pages for sale

We have some snow here at my house and it's soo beautiful outside so I'm loving it!  I am sitting right by my scrapbook window crafting today and this is the beautiful view I get to see while I'm hard at work, hee hee!

So I've created this Disney Cinderella layout that I am actually selling if anyone is interested I have the link for this piece.

A SCRAP CRAFTY DAY .... HE IS RISEN...♥

A beautiful Easter layout from 2012 is what I have been working on all day.  The 12 x 12 paper was Websters Pages and already had this beautiful background scenery on it so it wasn't hard to find embellishments to match.  I used my copic marker to color in the scallop circle behind the "he is risen" title and then I colored the branch at the top with the birds and bells hanging, and then I lightly colored the little angel in the corner I wanted her to remain a bit obscure so she is lightly accented.

I then added the banners in the upper left hand corner with pieces of different websters collection paper and added crochet trim, velvet trim and pearls.  The bottom corner is made up of  flowers, small accent diecut pieces and again pearls.  I used a new spellbinders die to make the leaves and sprayed them with Lindys Stamp Gang glimmermist.  I love the peaches and greens in this layout which matched my daughters dress and added to the beautiful scenery with my mom' blooming cherry blossom in the background.  We got that for her about 5 yrs ago when they moved into their house so I love to see it blooming every year and growing bigger and bigger.

January...destash.....CHA...3 words that come to mind!

So I always enjoy the Christmas holiday and then New Year.  But there is one thing I enjoy so much more to start my year off and that is CHA?  What is CHA you might say well for us crafters or anyone who knows anything about art, it's the bi-annual Craft & Hobby Association expo in Anaheim California and it's on my bucket list......has been for a few years now.  You either have to be an owner or a demonstrator or a buyer to participate which is what I have been told.  That category does not reach my namesake yet but hopefully one day it will.

Now having said all that I always seem to make myself a list of items that I want to fill my scraproom with every year and somehow at the end of the year only about 1/4 of that list was actually fulfilled.  It's probably because in my line of work I've decided to be a stay at home mom, one without a hefty income but the benefits I reap are far worth more than any CHA could provide me with.  That doesn't go without saying that I dont' get jelly or envious of the people's whose lists are always completely checked off at the end of the year and their craftrooms are filled with all the newest and latest gadgets, doodads, dingles and art mediums.

So once again I have started my list but there is something I enjoy this year more than any other and that is pinterest.  Pinterest is like my online diary of all things I want, have or want to do in my crafting and that includes all the CHA list of items I always hope to fulfill.  I know this seems silly but somehow having them on my pinterest list gives me that I've already achieved and received feeling.  Like I've somehow already arrived and purchased everything, silly, goofy and crazy right?  Right!  But if it's in my pinterest isn't that almost like it's already in my closet?  I sure hope so!  Hee hee.   ~♥

TWO CARDS INSPIRED BY PINTEREST

HOW TO MAKE BANDAID CARD FROM SCRAPS

1.  Cut rectangle shapes from scraps
2.  Round the corners
3.  Cut another piece 1/3 of the size of original rectangle
4.  Ink edges and add pop dots to center pieces
5.  Use sharpie to make black dots and smiley face on center.
6.  Finish and there you have it ..... your very own bandaids.
How to make candles with scraps of papers

1.  Cut scraps into square size pieces all equally the same size.
2.  Just start rolling into cylinder shape and adhere at the end.
3.  Use glue and stick small string or twine on the inside for candle wick.
4.  Adhere to paper in a line
5.  I added stickles to the candles to make it look like they were actually lit.
6.  Finish card and there you have it, another great way to use up your scraps!
