Crazy hair Saturated Canary Rubber Buggy DT project

Hi everyone it's Kelly and it's Design Team Thursday again for The Rubber Buggy.  This week I've done a project that is quite out of the box and it's a crazy hair saturated canary girl.  You can find the Saturated Canary stamps over at The Rubber Buggy.com and try this out for yourself.  This was actually one that I enlarged on my computer to make her stand out on the scrapbook page.  I made a layout of my daughter's skating birthday party and I used this little gal because she is my fav and she has a special gift of flowers for the birthday girl so here is my project and again check out The Rubber Buggy for all the most amazing Saturated Canary stamps as well as many others. I did hide the picture due to my daughter's friends being in the photos so I hope you can really get the whole effect of the layout even without seeing it's entirety.

Here is a closeup of the girl she is just adorable and I loved being crazy with her hair, I used stickles as well to get the most amazing glittery sparkle it turned out perfectly.  Hope you like it, if you do leave a comment below and thanks so much for checking out my blog today!  ~Kelly

Paper Nest Dolls Lace & Trim challenge

Hi fellow crafters it's that time again for the Paper Nest Dolls win a prize packet challenge.  The theme this time is Lace & Trims.  There is also a challenge going on you will want to see the rules and info right here:  http://thepapernestdolls.blogspot.com/2013/05/were-having-contest.html  and you can win the prize below if you enter the challenge so check out The Paper Nest Doll blog for more info.

Here is what I created for the challenge.  I used Hippy Chick and this is an altered notebook I made for my daughter's friends birthday.  I used laces across the left side along with turquoise mesh bling and then a daisy trim that was white and I copic colored it in the pink & yellow.  All the trims and ribbons came from Mbtreasurista.com   I then added some flowers to her hair and her bouquet in her hand, I love the 3-d look of that and dimension.  I then added flowers at the bottom and a title for her name and notes.   Just shows what you can do with an image and a plain old notebook sitting around and you have a beautiful gift for someone created with love ♥

Here is a video on the project as well thanks so much for coming over to see my project can't wait to see what all you create as well!

How I used more of my scraps...paper from The Rubber Buggy dot com

Well it's that time again here at the Rubber Buggy, it's Kelly and I have a design team project for you.  I was ill for quite some time and did not get a chance to color any images, and I ran out of copic paper for stamping so I thought what better time to dive into my scraps again and do another project on how I use my scraps and this time I've used some amazing scraps from the Paper line "Hello Pastel" by Prima; which you can purchase here at The Rubber Buggy.

1.  I used a basic cardstock base.
2.  Then I added a glittery mat as shown in a darker but similar
color.   The paper line had quite a bit of the same hues, that
is why I chose that paper.
3.  I then used a scallop circle die to cut out the shapes necessary
to create this entire scallop circle just using a variety of scrap
papers.  You could use any die that has a framed image.
4.  I then added a few paper flowers from the "Hello Pastel"

collection; only because I cant' do anything without using
     flowers, hee hee.
5.  Then I added the "Growing Memories" title and did a little
white gel pen stitching and there you go, super easy and fun
      using your scraps project.

I hope you like this project if you do, leave a comment below and tell me how you like to use up all your scraps!

Thank you for visiting

Lil bit of Country Graphic 45 style from The Rubber Buggy

Hi everyone it's Kelly and I sat down with my Graphic 45 French Country stack to create this beautiful card that you see here today.  There are only a few elements that did not come from the stack so it's amazing to me that you can do so many things with this paper line and a little creativity.  You can find the paper and small embellishments here at The Rubber Buggy.

To create this you will need:
French Country stack + banners stickers set
Green lace & green lace flower tutorial with pearl center
Yellow accent flower
Black bling
Twine for banner at the top

May Creative Inspiration for MBT Design team

Hey ladies & gents.  It's been a whirlwind of excitement here lately and I am falling behind with all my Dt projects.  Since I was sick I could not get ahead and so I feel like I am lagging and that is not good.  I wanted to post this for today for the Mbtreasurista May Creative Inspiration sketch.

Here is the inspiration:

Here is what I created:

There are so many new goodies in the store even if you are on a budget to me these items are very reasonably priced and just add so much beauty to your pages.  The flowers to me are a staple because when you purchase them in white, you can color them any color you want; same with the trims I use my Lindys and copics quite a bit to add just the right touch of color.

The products I used here were:
Venice heart drop lace
Lindy's Stamp Gang in Tiffanylou blue
Cameo floral cabuchon
Sweetheart blossoms colored with copics

I hope you like what I created and check out the blog to get some of your own inspiration!  ~Kelly

DIY Awesome teachers' gifts DT project for Mbtreasurista

My daughter had the most amazing teacher this year in school and I knew I had to do something special for her at the end of this year.  I was looking at pinterest and they had this really cute idea where you buy a bunch of "MINT" themed items and you make a card that says "You were MINT to be my teacher" which is just so corny but adorable.  Here is my take on it:

Materials used for gift basket:
GO shopping for Mint treats
I used the basicgrey clipping stack to make the lollipop sign
(You can do any style take on this with rosettes or just a circle punch like I did with a spellbinders outside)
I used my leftover alphabets for the saying
Butterfly mesh embellishment from Mbtreasurista
Ribbon for front of basket and tissue paper

Mbtreasurista Materials used for card:
White wide scalloped lace
Mint Eyelet Lace with ribbon
Black ruffled satin lace
Mint green pearl heart drop trim
White satin trim in the large size
White daisy venice lace #02
Petaloo darjeeling flower
Green butterfly mesh embellishment

Thanks for looking ~Kelly

Yummy for your Tummy Tilda and G45

Hi everyone it's Kelly and I made a card front for a recipe card for my  Thursday project share for The Rubber Buggy.com..  I used Yummy in the Tummy Tilda and instead of using copics on her I completely paper pieced the whole entire Tilda image.  I used French Country papers from Graphic 45.  I used a very flesh-tone paper for her skin and body, then I used a darker red color paper for the clothing.  I only used 2 different colors on the whole stamp just from the papers but they really pop and give some interest don't' you think?

I then added a few diecuts from the paper,  a prima layered flower with a dear lizzy brad, some kitchen stickers as accents at the side, want 2 scrap bling, silverware stickers, and a mangia mangia sign which means "Lets eat" in Italian.  Thanks so much for visiting!  ~Kelly Walkelmol

Rubber Buggy thursday G45 French Country Dt project

Hi everyone it's Kelly.  Thanks for coming over to see my new project for this Thursday, I took everything from the new G45 collection "French Country".  It's a really cool vintagey collection that was great for the look & feel I wanted for this very special thank you card I made for a friend. You can find it in the Rubber Buggy store and all the papers I used were fussy cut from that collection.

I did a basic layering then popped up the fussy cut sunflowers and added some of the carnations in the corner from the Rubber Buggy store as well.  I like how it came out because it's going in the mail, I didn't want it too bulky and I didn't use any images because she is into very simple country and this collection was perfect just for her.
