Harrisburg arts festival

Oh my, exhausted from a long day with my little girlie; bestie friend, and her son at the arts festival in Harrisburg. Saw some of the most amazing art and had some yummy goodies, Salty & Sweet hand stirred kettlecorn ROCKS! Heard an awesome street band while sitting next to the river as the wind blew past us and we basked in the sun. Boats and jet skis were out everywhere on the river and at one point I looked down and the sun reflecting off the water looked like beautiful diamond crystals in wave pools of silver satin. It was HOT so sometimes it was nice just to sit and breathe it all in, art & the creativity all around us, makes me so giddy! ♥

Final WOC ... Wild Orchid Crafts Designs team Call Project

I couldn't decide what to do.  Do I enter this, do I enter that?  I have so many projects I've done and all that I have put my heart into.  However, I kept seeing this image in my mind, it was a frame completely and utterly enveloped in flowers.  I finally sketched out the drawing and began my project, 8 hours later here is what I am entering into the Wild Orchid Crafts design team call.  This is the final entry.

Headband Bling project

Used my mesh bling from pro31 designs and some from Beadybombom zibbet store to make this adorable bow on my daughter's headband and she loves it.  Mesh bling is awesome!

Lollipop card tutorial

Here is my lollipop card tutorial.  There are photos of my other lollipop cards in my last post.  These are fun to make and so far have been a hit at little girls birthday parties!

Happy Birthday Lollipop card projects

My daughter was invited to 2 birthday parties in the next week so I took some paper, laces and cardstock and layered them to make these beautiful lollipop birthday cards.  They were super fun to make and I hope each of the girls enjoy them as much as I did making them!

Mother's Day photo stand card

Mother's Day photo stand card.  Tutorial found on youtube at dawn5377 channel.  It's super easy and you can make it with just a 12 x 12 piece of cardstock or patterned paper. 

My glorious Mother's Day...

I decided to go visit my grandparents today, I don't' visit as often as I should so I've been desiring to do more of those things.   On the way over I was talking to God saying how the day was so dreary and I just wanted to see his glory, I said it's hard to see it in the  midst of the black clouds, lack of sunshine and muddy dreary mountainside with little color.  I went and visited my gram & pap along with 2 separate sets of aunt and uncles who were also there, I had an amazing time with them and my cousins I don't normally get to see.  I then came home and was introduced to an amazing meal by my husband, who I am so grateful for his unfailing love even with all my faults he shows me God's love in so many ways.  I then decided not to fuss over the "perfectness of my house" so I called a few friends and invited them over for campfires with our kids, well it ended up being a dancing campfire.  Mommas and girlies shakin' from head to toe, some fancy footwork, a beautiful crackling fire and a gorgeous black/blue sparkling night.  Then after a nice hot shower with some amazing chocolate bath salts made by one of my besties, I'm ready for a peaceful slumber so......I forgot that next week is actually Mother's day because today seemed like such a blessing to me.  I asked God to show me his glory, I was looking in the wrong place.... it was all around me the whole time!  ♥

Piano recital layout Stampersbest Piano Solo girl stamp

Here is a layout I made of my daughters piano recital with stamps from Stampersbest  www.stampersbest.com with the little Piano solo girl featured below.  This little girl stamp is amazing and I am so thrilled with their stamps.

I used a technique where I stamp the image on coffee stained white cardstock.  I then tear around the image and ink the edges to make it look like an almost burnt vintage ephemera paper.  For the image color I used a paintbrush and stickles glitter glue to paint on the sparkle in a few select areas, so as not to deter from the color of the entire layout..
