Rubber Buggy Dt project French Country layout

Every year I make a Christmas layout for my mom to put in a frame.  I use my daughters photo from school so she can see her grow & become more and more beautiful as the years go by.  I did put a mat over my daughters photo but you can tell I made the layout really simple but yet elegant and simply stated.

The few material I used were:
French Country Graphic 45 paper from The Rubber Buggy.

Prima Mulberry flower
Websters pages stick pin
White doily
Recollections bling
Red velvet scalloped ribbon

Have a very Happy New Year and best wishes to all!

Merry Christmas with The Rubber Buggy design team

Hi friends, well it's getting down to the wire and I am quickly finding ways to make really easy cards for christmas.  I used an MFT die from the Rubber Buggy and it came out so pretty.  I used the fence die and decorated it with laces and pearls.  I added a christmas tree and some stickled and painted snow to brighten it up a bit ; so here is what the end result is.  So fun and done in under 30 minutes.  You can find the fence die from MFT over at The Rubber Buggy  as well as the paper line from G45 called French Country and try making this one for yourself.  I wish you all a very Merry Christmas only 2 weeks from today till Santa comes I hope you are all ready!

Thanks for looking ~Kelly

Elf on the shelf poopy goofy pranks

Elf poop is the equivalent of a peppermint candy and here was what our Elf Lila left us in my daughters American Girl house "pretend" toilet.

She's a stinker!  No pun intended!  LOL!

Really?....Chia Dynasty....what next?

So my hubby has attained victory in the struggle of getting my daughter hooked on his favorite show Duck Dynasty.  It's not that I don't appreciate the values they have to offer, I just never really got the whole fad of the thing but to each his own.  I haven't kissed my husbands face in days because he is "growing his own beard". Great go for it, but you wont' see me kissing that prickly, pointy, hairy, painful mass of threadlike strands growing from his all too once familiar face, lol!

Now I was looking online at some merchandise for him for Christmas and being the kind loving wife that I am, I thought I would also jump into the world of commercialism and buy him some DD merchandise for his obsession.  I stumbled up on this.  Chia Duck Dynasty.  I would say something but I think it speaks for itself, and for that I have no words but WHAT NEXT?

Please don't ask me where you can get one, I only saved the picture and have no idea.  I would recommend just googling Chia Duck Dynasty I'm sure you will find it eventually, and if not good luck with your journey.  All I was looking for was a t shirt.

Rubber Buggy Dt gathered paper tutorial card

Hi everyone it's Kelly and I have been inspired this week.  I saw a card tutorial by Gabrielle Polacco and I truly absolutely adored her card and so this was my creation that was inspired by her card called Gathered Paper Card Tutorial.  I made this a Christmas Holiday card but I used the paper stack called French Country sold at The Rubber Buggy.

I will have a tutorial up on my youtube channel by tomorrow so you can check that out here:

Here is the project:

Movie review.....Disney FROZEN & Elf on a shelf prank

This movie was a lot like what I thought Tangled was like.  It had the conflict:  Misunderstood downfalls and resolution:  find/search inner peace.  I think it was geared more towards the female persuasion, but yet there were quite a few boys in the theater when we were there so depends on your little boys preferences.  If they like Disney movies with girls the whole princess saved by prince type of movie then this is the movie for them, but if they are more tough & rugged, like the dark side of theater boys this is not really for them. Although there were a few fight scenes, pleasantly to me it had a more feminine softer touch to it, but I give it a thumbs up!  Excellent, will be buying this when it comes out on DVD.

In other stories our elf was at it again.  We did finally get our tree up but didnt' have time for ornaments and figured we'd wait till another night to do that. Lila the elf had other things in mind, her she is toilet papering our tree.  Great now what do we wipe with?  Ornaments?

American Girl of the Year 2014 is.................Isabelle

I've done a little research; I usually do this time of  year and sure enough I found the New Girl of the Year for American Girl on another blog called dolldiaries.com.   The 2014 girl of the year seems to be a ballerina with blonde hair and possibly green eyes and her name is Isabelle.

Not sure how I feel about this, I'm always excited for the new dolls but I feel the blonde girl with sporty style has been a bit redundant in the past 5 - 10 years or so.  Not enough ethnic dolls are being portrayed as far as I am concerned.  American Girl says they are not the most popular dolls when it comes to regular sales but these are the dolls of the year they are not normal regular sales dolls.

Anyway, I wanted to share with any viewers out there if you are searching so here she is.  Again pictures copies from dolldiaries.com.  Not my own pics.  ~Kelly

Lila Boggins Elf on the Shelf is back.....2013

Our little Lila friend is back and this time she brings gifts.  Molly's advent lego calendar was a special treat this year because her little Elf friend, Lila was there ready for her to open her first day's # 1 box.  She says this year she's going to cause more trouble so who knows, you will have to keep up with our blog to see these shenanigans she may be creating in our house.  Oh no, hold on tight;  this momma is worried for the chaos this elfie girlie is about to create.
