Teach me Tuesday by Mbtreasurista Easter frame card

Hi everyone it's Kelly coming to you from the Mbtreasurista Design team Teach me Tuesday tutorial today of an Easter frame card that I made using a sizzix die.  I have not seen this technique done but if it has already I am sorry for repeating it but I finagled the idea around a bit until I got it perfectly the way I wanted it and I have the cards to show you in the beginning and end of the video.  I did have one fail but then after tweaking it a bit, came up with a really swift way to create a beautiful scallop frame around the entire card, trifold frame and to put it together for a nice Easter treat for my family!

You will need:
Some sort of square or rectangle die
6 x 12 piece of cardstock/paper
3 pcs of cardstock for frames
lace for outside embellishment and flowers for garnish

12 things Happy People do DIFFERENTLY

Click on the picture to enlarge it and read it better.
#8 is my favorite; Increase flow of experiences that feel like time stand still!  This is why I craft!

HERE IS THE LIST:
1.  EXPRESS GRATITUDE:  When you appreciate what you have, what you have appreciates in value.  If we aren't thankful for what we already have, we will have a hard time every being happy.
2.   CULTIVATE OPTIMISM:  People who think optimistically see the world packed full of endless opportunities, especially in trying times.
3.  AVOID OVERTHINKING AND SOCIAL COMPARISON:  Comparing yourself to someone else can be poisonous, the only person you should compare to is yourself before now.
4.  PRACTICE ACTS OF KINDNESS:  Selflessly helping someone else is a super great way to make yourself feel good inside.
5.  NURTURE SOCIAL RELATIONSHIPS:  The happiest people on the planet are ones who have deep, meaningful relationships.
6.  DEVELOP STRATEGIES FOR COPING:  It helps to have healthy strategies for coping pre-rehearsed, on call and in your arsenal ready for coping at a minutes notice.
7.  LEARN TO FORGIVE:  Harboring feelings of unforgiveness is horrible for your well-being.
8.  INCREASE FLOW EXPERIENCES:  Flow is a state in which it feels like time stands still.  It's when you are focused on what you are doing, you become one with the task.  Nothing is distracting you or competing with your focus. (My personal fav)
9.     SAVOR LIFE'S JOYS:  Deep happiness cannot exist without slowing down to enjoy the joy.
10.  COMMIT TO YOUR GOALS:  Magical things start happening when we commit ourselves to doing whatever it takes to get somewhere.
11.  PRACTICE SPIRITUALITY:  When we practice spirituality or religion, we recognize that life is about something much bigger than us.  We surrender the silly idea that we are the mightiest thing ever.
12.  TAKE CARE OF YOUR BODY:  Taking care of your body is crucial to being the happiest person you can be.

Party Time Tuesdays Paper Nest Dolls project

Here is my project for Party time Tuesdays (link here) for The Paper Nest Dolls.  You can find this image on etsy right here and she is called Best Friends and Sisters .  I have made a wall hanging for my daughters' friends sister for her birthday and I used a corrugated cardboard base for the canvas, then I added torn paper and a beautiful white doily and a banner with a big butterfly and some rosettes at the side with the image copic colored in the middle and Our Story written at the bottom.  I then added a pink & brown ribbon to hang it with at the top that matched the paper collection which was a random paper pack that I was given for my birthday from a friend, thanks Jen!

March Prima BAP Sketch Romance Novel Disney

This is my entry for the March Prima Build-a-Page sketch.    I had a Disney photo of my daughter with Aurora that I decided to scrap.  I used a Prima 12 x 12 ledger page and added  Romance Novel page behind the photo matted with black.  I then added the Aurora sticker in the corner along with sprayed doily and a Sleeping Beauty title then tons of Prima flowers.  I sprayed it with a mixture of my own glimmermist, Lindys and Tattered Angels and I used some of the new canvas resist embellishments in the bottom left corner, and I added the mickey heads along the page instead of doing a mask.  A little bit of crochet thread below the picture and a few splotches of paint and the layout is done.

Party Time Tuesdays Diecut challenge layout

This is my layout for the Party Time Tuesday project Diecuts challenge!

I dont' do layouts like this very often and never do I scrap without using flowers so this has been a challenge for me but oh my gosh oh so rewarding, I dove right into the world of flowerless layouts and it didn't hurt me too badly, lol!

I used Rainy Day Avery on this project and she is from The Paper Nest Dolls over on etsy and I also have the blog listing below as well.  They have amazing digis and have now entered the world of the rubber stamps so if you like this image you can purchase it over there.  Hope you like it; I had a lot of fun creating this page, the flowers in the photos are from my gram's old homestead so it holds lots of sentimental value to my heart and that is what I wanted to capture with this layout.
